Child Protection
- We will not allow a child 17 years or less to access (username and password) learning courses unless we receive written consent from the child’s parent or appointed guardian.
- Personal Identifying data such as, child’s surname, date of birth, child’s address, etc., will not be used anywhere in our platform and or general communications.
- We recommend that parent or guardian be involved in their child’s learning and education since it motivates the child and also it complies with the child’s protection safety oversight function.
- We recommend that good teamwork and communications between parent or guardian, volunteer teacher(s)/tutor (s) and our in-house facilitator will be the core of protection and safety of child enrolled on any specific course(s).
Verification of Identity: Teachers/Tutors/Others who work with children
- Similar to any academic institution’s operations, we are obliged to verify the identification of volunteer Teachers/Tutors/Others who will work and or communicate to students as part of education/course(s) delivery process.
- A scanned copy of National Photo Identification (passport or National ID Card)
- Two written reference letters from publicly known persons, example, (Village Head or Chairperson, Village Priest, Village Notary Public, Village Doctor, Gazetted Rank Police Officer of the village of volunteer’s residence.
- Recent Police Clearance/Certificate
- Recent CV with photo
